Student Grievance Policy: College of 艺术 and 科学 (CAS)

部门统一申诉政策和程序

的 purpose of the student grievance procedure is to provide an impartial review process and to protect the rights of all parties involved in student-faculty disputes. 任何 student who believes he or she has a grievance should first utilize the departmental 流程如下所列.

第一步: A student who has a grievance against a faculty member should make an appointment with the faculty member within 30 日历天 of the incident to discuss and resolve 这一争端. If the student feels that a satisfactory solution has not been provided, the student should follow the procedure outlined in Step Two.

第二步: 的 student should make an appointment with the chairperson (director or coordinator) of the department within ten days after the initial meeting with the faculty member. 主席 will attempt to resolve 这一争端 and notify the student of the 书面决定. If the student feels that a satisfactory solution has not been provided, the students should follow the procedure outlined in Step Three.

Faculty members may be tenured, tenure track, or adjunct, as provided in the department
